hi folks;

Just 10 days to go then we are off. Full timing traveling round UK first,to see what we for got to pack,so we can buy here be for we invade Europe.
Hummmmmmmmmmm where do full timers get there Internet ????????
We are going to need this site we think.

Most mobile networks offer mobile broadband, I use Orange £15.00 a month for up to 3GB usage, see here for other options http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/mobile-broadband
Have a look round other providers as you may find better deals, I only use Orange as I use them for my mobile anyway.

I used a little freeware programme called Network Stumbler, which found quite a few wireless networks without any security enabled - tsk tsk I hear you say.

There are also websites with GPS coords of free access wireless networks - do a Goggle on "wardriving" which for some peculiar reason is a new word to describe finding wireless networks that are open to public use - although the owners may not know about it. There are a lot of hotspots around.

I'm almost sure that McDonalds now has free WIFI if you buy a big mac.

Hi,
More and more people are using BT wifi Hotspots, if you have BT Broadband at home, on option 1, an allowance of 250 mins/month is allowed, on other options I think there's no limit. At the moment Hotspots are few and far between, but becoming worldwide. A section of your home broadband is made available to others on wifi in return for you using others.

Enjoy your trip.

Happy Camping:)
