I have a Huawei WIFI E5577C together with a 3 Internet with legs 12GB Data sim, it was initiated in the UK we were hoping to get nine weeks usage here in Spain, all works well except for data usage display, I checked usage at the end of February which showed 4.25 GB used I checked again beginning of March which showed 178 MB checked again Sunday morning it showed 194.39 MB and Sunday evening 322.32 MB, with my 4.25 GB used I assumed I would have 7.75 GB left, but I don’t know what these MB numbers are represented of, is it possible for the month of March it has started to calculate usage again, I have been on the 3 website and it shows me the MB figures as above but not how much data left which I want to know to avoid running out.There are two of us with the same problem,same wifi same data sim.

Hi ya,
Yep I’ve had one of these for about 3 years now, & mine is on 3 Network as well, I had it on a PAYG but I’m sorry can’t comment on all the MB stuff it just done what I wanted it to do for around £15 a month. Absolutely Brilliant bit of kit that rarely let me down.

HOWEVER

I have now got a new phone again on 3 PAYG & I Put £35 On it a month for pretty much Unlimited Everthing, So haven’t used the Hawaii Thingy for Months now !.
Is it worth you having a rethink or won’t a phone do what you need it to do ?.

1gb is equal to 1000mb, it looks like it's reset for March so no worries.
 
Mine confuses me in the same way, I take a 1gb data card along as well just in case I run out. Had the same card for 3 years but havent had to use it yet.

I can understand this if it's a monthly PAYG or contract sim but if it's the 12GB data sim that lasts for up to 12 months, then it shouldn't reset at all :confused:
I've had a few of the 12GB sims without problems but I've not used one abroad as yet. I wonder if it calculates on a monthly basis when used overseas? Odd!

I'd try going online with the device that's using the sim and just go to the My3 website via a browser (not a 3 app)... but don't logon at all. It should recognise the sim and give you the latest figures. If that doesn't work, I don't know what else to suggest, other than a call to 3 support.

Your MIFI is set to record as if it is on a monthly data plan which I don't think can be adjusted on the device itself. I suggest that you download the Huawei app which works with the MIFI. If using Android click on the device tab then in the area of 'GB used' which takes you to another window nonsensically called 'Volume'. Click on 'settings' and turn off 'set monthly data plan'. Then when you install a new SIM card click on 'Clear statistics history' which will then start your new card from scratch. Unforunately this will not help you with your part used card unless you have recorded elsewhere the data you have already used.
 
I have a Huawei and a WiFi booster by iBoost. Both for sale 🙂 as I have not a totally unlimited data sim, so no need for them now but both great kit.
