How's yer luck? a rant

I've got nobody at home to rant to to let off steam, so i thought i'd post it here! May be a long one.

The car (heap of proverbial renault scenic) failed its MOT spectacularly on Wednesday, looking at about 500 quid to put right. It's currently in a few pieces in the car park of my flats.

This morning, my 10 month old daughter develops a rash. We phoned the Doc who says take her to hospital to get checked. No problem, we'll go in the Bedford. Did i say no problem?!....

The damn thing will not start! Ran like a dream all day yesterday (as it always does), but today... no. Turns over well, but will not catch.

So the Mrs has taken Chloe in a cab (i've since had a call to say everything's fine) while i get the van going and follow on behind.
Except that it wont go!

And it's MOT is due on Tuesday.
And i have slightly less mechanical ability than a duck.
And since i've been out of work since March due to health reasons (after 18 years of not missing a single day), there's no money to pay a mechanic.

Both the car and the van are nearly out of tax, and i have no idea how long the housing association will put up with 2 untaxed vehicles in the car park.

Am i justified in saying B@11@CKS ?

probably ....If I were in Bedford FWIW I would do my best to fix it for you ..albeit my mechanical experience is that of a mature duck.

I hope you get a break soon

Ahh Frogdude...so sorry to hear your plight. I do hope things get better soon.
Old saying :- 'It won't always be dark at seven'...chin up !!

Jackie;)

The main thing is that the little 'uns alright. The rash has gone down now, apparently some sort of allergic reaction.

And i think the van will be an easy(ish) fix. One good thing about elderly Bedfords - very basic so not too much to go wrong.

Thanks again for the kind words.
