Over here (mostly) the lorry would slow up and you'd get a load of lights and hooter for the next mile or so but not in the states. It seems to be endemic within the American trucker's attitude. You don't slow down for much but you certainly don't yield to someone who's cutting in. The internet is full of compilations of pretty much exactly the same scenarios as this one and the driver's attitude is always the same, they will not yield period and to hell with the consequences.
I'm right and you're wrong and I don't care if you die.
