How much road tax do you pay?

I have a 6 ton Mercedes 709 7 metre long bus converted to a camper, 4lt diesel engine, £165 road tax per year, "PHGV" which I think is fairly cheap
Insured with Adrian Flux, He will insure most things..

TOO MUCH mine is plg i think 200 quid give or take ,dont know what it will be this year .but as our van is over 25 years it should be free tax as a historic vehicle but the cut off for this type is jan 1973 .its not realy road tax nowadays it a enviromental thing if you run a little green tin box your tax is virtualy nill if you run a big un green thing you are fleeced , stealth tax not road tax
 
November 2010 to October 2011 For a year I paid £205 each for MH and car. Daylight robbery. I wouldn't mind if the roads are in good condition. Never mind, we have to finance the MP's expense account. ☺☺
 
£165 ;) made sure that when I bought my last van that it was PHGV as I had found out with my previous van that PHG is cheaper than PLG.
Insurance £0 (wife won a years free insurance ;);))
 
I have just taxed my Hymer PHGV, for six months and I paid £90 -75p from 1st April, the lady in the Post Office said that tax rates are rising from !st April so I got in just in time, I only taxed for 6 months as I want to change renewal dates for next year.
 
we pay 88 euro per year for any size camper.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh dont tell anyone.

I think I've been here before. My Tax last month was £245 - taxation class diesel car.
The system has me beaten!

then on the other hand we pay 357euro to tax 1.5 renault clio diesel. just paid it last week.

Ah, ah. I feel sorry for you folks in Ireland. Pay less here, double amount there. At the end of the day, we get screwed left, right and center. Never mind, as long as my pension covers all what I need (for the time being) ☺☺☺

i hope you dont begrudge the governments a few bob.
they need it all for the lifestyle they are used to & they give you a few bob pension so you can live happy what more do you want.

I agree to disagree Tony, but I know where you are coming from. What the heck, I am healthy, worth a lot more than those scrounging Politicians.

It is a T4 Autosleeper Topaz LE. First registered May 2004 (04 plate) and converted before the first reg.
I rang swansea to see if it is in the correct group but they couldn't be less helpfull.

I have spoken with the dealer who supplied the vehicle from new and they confirmed that they regestered it after conversion. I now need to visit the local DVLA office.
