How do I fix a TV to this Wall?

Hi,

Finally got round to installing the extra 12v Socket & TV Ariel, and outside Satellite connection.

The Hymer Camp Swing is very compact and the only "wall" to fix the tv to is this on

The bathroom mirror is right behind it so I cant bolt the bracket though - the plywood is no more that 12mm thick.

The Tv weighs under 4kg, but I not sure if sikaflex on it's own will hold it.

How have you fixed your TV?

Cheers

glue another bit of 12mm ply to the wall then fix the bracket with screws that go through into the wall

Hi Thanks for that - would i use the standard "wood" adhesive and then 20mm screws, for the bracket?

Cheers

I used a B and Q corner shelf.

Our Hymer Tramp has a drop down bed which takes up the whole area when it's down, so after trying a couple of options with brackets i mounted it at an angle behind the drivers seat between the window and the board.

Thanks Bushtrekker - the camp swing is very compact and I think this is the only area where the TV wont get in the way.

only really like woodglue in a wood to wood situation so i'd sikaflex and by the time you put a screw thru the bracket you might find 25mm might work

Fixing.

I used a BandQ pine semi circular corner bracket, about £2.98, then found another semi circular metal bracket which fits underneath to give hidden support. Don't forget to unscrew one of the existing screws next to the window to get the length right, so you don't put a screw straight through the wall. I then screwed the TV base to the timber bracket and it's done 1,000 miles like that on some rough sites.

I just bolted a TV bracket to a piece of matching contiboard and then fixed this new panel to the side of my wardrobe using screws and small L brackets, it hasn't moved at all.
