House Guards

We're both semi retired but still need a small income! Have any of our friends out there ever been house guards any information will be appreciated.
 
I made enquiries with www.housemindersltd.uk earlier in the year and was impressed with the imformation from them. The wage was £70 per week plus travelling expenses plus an allowance for food. only given jobs within 100 miles.
The work was looking after peoples homes and pets (probably a Rottweiler) whilst they were away on holiday (probably wild camping).
Website worth a look.
 
I was interested in this and was lucky enough to bump into a guy who worked for the company. All that is said in the promotion is as stated and he showed me pay slips etc and was very satisfied with the company. He works with them during our summer and then off to Spain/ Portugal for the winter. Can look after a houses and has also been on industrial developments

Unfortunately Garth paints a rather negative and uninformed picture based on speculation, but if you don't no and don't try then you will never no.

I would have given it a go but at the moment am quite happy to dodge along with life as it is.
 
You are at liberty to turn down any assignment if you do not fancy it.

When I looked into it, there was no mention of Industrial premises and you were a House sitter, the word "guard" appeared nowhere.

have a mate and wife who did this for a while...:)

they invited us round to 1 place... guy who owns premier foods house... kinell...:eek:
btw they told them that they could entertain as that's what thay do lots of ...giving the appearance of normal cummings and goings.:rolleyes:

most if not all his assignments were well of posh peoples big places. :cool:

I looked at Houseguards earlier in the year, A long drawn out process to gain the SIA licence which anyone who works in security requires nowadays.

I have to say I did'nt spot any obvious flaws with their approach.

The owner spotted a niche in the market,has I see it.
