Got hospital appointment at East Grinstead Monday and was looking for place to park up on poi. Most now, in area, seem to be no overnight parking....campsites seem to be Camping club ( we aren't members) so would cost an arm and a leg! Couple of pubs but not sure, with covid, how they will be . Ended up booking the new Travel lodge hotel for £30 night right in town centre, feel like we have cheated but for an extra £5-10 we will leave motor home behind! :sneaky: Over 100 miles each way so I won't complain!

Better Idea than paying for a site we often used them if going for week end away Hoilday Inn, Premier or Travel Lodge car easier to park at final destination as well

I think I would be more inclined to stay in my motorhome rather than a central Travel Lodge even if the Travel Lodge was cheaper!

(I did a job for someone last month and even though he offered to pay for an overnight stay in the local Premier Inn, I elected to sleep in the Camper in a remote Pub carpark rather then do any hotel mingling)

Well, we are at the hotel.....have only seen one other person, wearing a mask, passed on stairs. Took wipes and wiped everything, much closer to the hospital than anywhere we could find. Went to the cinema last night.....seven people in very widely spaced seats all wore masks when moving about. Doors to foyer open and Windows open letting quite a bit of air movement....it was a bit chilly in fact! Heading back home this morning feel we have done enough risk taking....even though Trump says nothing to worry about

Given Travelodge/premiere Inn etc are struggling..

I might be worth asking if you can park up overnight (paying for a room) thus you might get location and added lack of risk !
They get the funds
You get location and "anti-mingling" and your own food !

It really is worth comparing options. Driving through Belgium last night and it is very wet, as is everywhere, so being fair weather campers, decided not to erect the tent! Cabin on a campsite €64. Cheapest basic hotel £61. Very comfortable Airbnb apartment £53.

Saw Tenet....I enjoyed it but Dave found it confusing....! It is a Chris Nolan film. He did Inception which I enjoyed but similar type of plot.

No parking at this particular location, free overnight in public car Parks or on the road, height barrier on one car Park and fairly busy as town centre.
