holy island

hi, just to see if anyone knows if you can still wildcamp on holy island, i have not been up for about 4 year , and you could then, on left just as you go into village, at car park/field,, thanks jake +dot

just got back you can park on first car park on your left just before causeway it was very busy with cars but we managed to get on and onther 4 if no space just wait on roadside until somebody moves i am not saying it was quiet but we slept until 10.30 must have been all them beers hic!

No you still cant stay on the island the car park mentioned is where the tide table is on the mainland at the start of the causeway, i thought the parking about half a mile onto the island would be ok but you will get moved on. Not sure what would happen if the tide is in though.

hi, the car park i stayed in was on left just before village, just a walk from centre, and a couple of pubs ect,, jake// dot

This is a better car park, If I remember rightly, with about half an hour to the causeway closing ,just pin open the bonnet and if anyone confronts you just tell them you are awaiting Green Flag Recovery.
