You could always try the Causeway, like this DORK!

Hi we stayed in April in small car park just before causeway on left ,three vans stayed same night ,waited til morning until safe to cross ,please note no wild camping on holy island itself.

If you miss the tide coming off, you may have a few hours wait, so I couldn't imagine anyone complaining if you settled down in the carpark on the island side of the causeway overnight - provided you left in the morning. They might be miffed if you stayed another day tho. I guess they are trying to protect their B&B trade, but they quite often don't have vacancies anyway.

There is a C & CC THS close to the Causeway. It runs from August 10th until September 2nd and it is £7 per night.
