Hi, we have just been to a Holiday Rally, ;) with the Camping and Caravan Club at Rutland Water.:)

We had a nice week, you don't have to book these rallies just turn up, and stay as many nights as you wish.

If like us, you only want a Tap and somewhere to empty the Toilet :D Go for it.

All you get is a Tap and a place to empty the Toilet, and its only.....................................................£6.00 a night.:D Bob.

Oh and you get a view like this:

We cycled around it,:) its only 18 miles.

Hi janeandbob,
they make great stopovers, been using them for years.
Will use them in Scotland over the next few weeks, to replenish water, empty loo, etc.

Happy Camping:)

I like the fact you don't have to book, I can never understand these people that moan about not being able to book a club site, because they are pre booked, and half the piches are empty because they don't turn up. Why pay all this money for a van and the bits and bobs,:D to want to pay another £20.00 a night to enjoy it.

We never book anything, even when we are in Europe (8 weeks in Sep / Oct) its an Aire or Stelplatz if there full, then its a car park.:D Bob.

Hia
Using the one at York and the one at Bamburgh while on my jollys around the north east side during end of July and beginning of August :D:D

Hi, we thought we would be one of a few motorhomers to be there, But was quite surprised when there was 45 Caravans and 30 Motorhomes.:) Looks like those tuggers have seen the light.:D

Last weekend we went to a Regatta, and we were talking to a boater and a caravaner. The Caravan Club had a rally on site, and the boater said are you camping, and we said we had a motorhome and they are tuggers.

The boater said to the caravaner whats the differance between a motorhomer and a tugger.:D He said about £30.000:rolleyes: And walked off.:D

Bob.
