Hi everybody, just joined the forum the other day and i must say i,am enjoying the experience:) We are about to embark on our first weeks wild camping in our beloved vw t4 which we have owned for more than 4 years now. It started life has a standard vw kombi van and over the years it has evolved but is by no means a fully on camper and never will be but hopefully later this year it will have a poptop. At this moment it has a full width rock an roll bed and we do have a nice awning that we have been using for a couple of years now, just recently got a reimo multirail but not fitted it yet ,rain and more rain:( Anyway we wanna take off tommorow for a week or so and we planned to go round east coast way, scarborough, whitby that area, and the question is can anyone recommend any safe quiet places to stop over or any van friendly pubs { were not taking the awning } Cheers guys. Hi Rich and Ann.. Welcome to the Wildies. If you look in the forums and look in England and then Yorkshire you will find a few places on the NE coast to stop, from Redcar down to Scarborough. You can park in the carpark at the sealife centre at Scalby mills and there is a pub that does food there too. A few of us on here have stopped there and not had any hassle.

theres a tasty looking carpark at rspb bempton cliffs that ive seen people stoping in its a bit further south than scarboro area but you might get to see puffins there although is still a bit early in the year

Finding my way round the forum now, techno-fobe me, lol, checked out the wild camping area section now so hopefully its gonna be a good week but maybe not the weather??? never mind. Only ever stayed on officil sites before and camped at many british superbike championship rounds over the years, getting excited now, thanks everybody:)
