Hi i have just taken the proud ownership of Betty, my first motorhome. She is a 1991 ducato swift. She is a lovely lady who is in need of some TLC and I hopefully intend to restore her to her former beauty. No doubt you will all get fed up with me asking advice, which I totally understand. Fortunately for me I am a qualified hgv/ van mechanic so if I can help you with any issues just drop me a line.
Looking forward to a great time.

I may take you up on the advice Cammy (real first name is?), my Ducato is doing weird stuff.

Hello. I wish you many happy travels.

As an elderly van, owner give me your phone number and where do you live 😆

Welcome to the group, I also have a Betty, this is my 2nd van and is at the opposite end of the age scale which suits me as Im NOT a mechanic. Shes Betty Boop Too and we look forward to seeing you in a field/lay-by/forest somewhere

Welcome from Northants. We started with a 1994 Compass Calypso on a Talbot chassis. Our very first trip just four days after we picked her up was to France, in December, in the freezing cold! Loved it. Just go and do it! Don't worry about stuff unless stuff happens, you don't want to waste any worry you have in reserve. What on earth would happen if you needed some worry and you had none left!

Just get out there and enjoy.

Welcome from the Red Rose county. 🌹 🌹

I recommend that you spend a couple of nights close to home so that you have an escape plan for anything that doesn't quite go to plan.

In your drive is the best option, otherwise somewhere within an affordable taxi home.

I am also great believer in lists. (What to pack / check list before leaving home / etc), If they are good enough for pilots they are good enough for me,

Enjoy your new van and your new mates in this group.

Welcome from Glengormley Co Antrim, im the nutter on here before folk warn you. 😂
