Hey i got the fruit and nut one also.
They are my youngest son's one for his tour of Ireland and the other for Iraq.

Delighted that he's back: Both places are part of Satan's bottom

Had to tell someone!!!

My lad just phoned me from Afghanistan.
Somebody at Camp Bastion has nicked a couple of parcels that his wife sent out to him from Germany.
He received 1 parcel that had wipes in (the lads use them for washing).
but another 2 parcels that had sweets and chocolates and crisps included went missing.
His wife and everyone else has to write on the parcels what they contain so the thieves can pick and choose what parcels to nick.
It is disgusting when you think that it is your own kind stealing from you isn't it?
His wife said, "Isn't there anything you can do about it? You know, report it to someone!"
His answer, "We have now got 4 unserviceable warriors out of 8 so we have a lot more to worry about than parcels of sweets."
(A Warrior is a combination of Tank and Armoured personnel Carrier).

He also has some medals:-
2 tours in Kosovo
2 tours in Iraq (including the invasion)
now he is in Afghanistan

Wonder where he will go next?
Blackpool maybe?

Hi New Rover,
You would think they would look after the troops better than they do.
Hope all go's well for your lad mate.
My daughters boy friend has just came back from Iraq on Tueday.
Anyway Best of Luck hope all go's well.;)

Best Wishes to all our Brave boy's and girls fighting for us where ever they are.

Stay safe, and come home soon.

Just got a phone call at noon, my lad has been hurt slightly.
Not by enemy action but by someone else's incompetence.
He has been to hospital and been checked out and is reporting himself fit to return to work. Although still hurting, he prefers to be out in the "field" rather than laid up in "dock".

I am glad for you that it is not serious and all is well:D

Glad to hear it is nothing too serious Rover, hope he is home soon :)
