just being safe.

I live in Glasgow City Centre, (East End actually) and when I ook the dog out for her last walk for the evening I found a J reg Hymer had parked next to my MH for an overnight stop.
(He is still there now).
I guess he must think that as my van is there that it would be reasonable to asume that it would be ok to park there.
If I see him before he goes, I'll ask him if there is anything he needs.
I'll tell you one thing though, he will be waking up to a nice view.

Yes!
The Doulton Fountain restored at a cost of £3.75 Million, and yet STILL being vandalised.
Stopped 2 foreign gentlemen (adults) from climbing into said Fountain last night just laughed at me as they made their way away.

suppose atleast it aint the hookers doing tricks round there, as the area still seems dogged by the street walkers

the corpy paid all that money to get it restored yet they aint protecting it, typical G.C.C:(

The corpy didn't pay bigmastif, the money came from the lottery, european fund, heritage fund, uncle Tom Cobley an' all but very little from GCC.

You still get the odd streetwalker, though the numbers have been greatly reduced.

well thats even worse that G.C.C didnt pay a penny to help,
and even better the junkies and hookers are reduced in numbers

I'm not sure I know why anyone would want to overnight in Glasgow city-centre, any city centre.

We-all hope there's a case for wild camping and even though Scotland went the extra mile with the Land Reform act I wonder what effect it's had on wilding. I only camped wild for one night on the green at Kyle-of-Tongue and had to suffer the lady staring at me with hands on hips.

I had initially joined a group from all over the UK and one bloke from France, We call it, "Follow-The-Wind-Tour". I decided to camp alone on a site when I realised they were going to make a nuisance of themselves wherever they went, the reason for not using a camp-site was that they wanted to be noisy and smelly. Most of these people were acquaintances rather than pals, mostly they were bright-intelligent people on the face of it but they were surprised when the local community sent a couple of big-boys over because you could hear the music five miles away and even though they were well-behaved in most other ways (I think) they looked like a bunch of RiffRaff.

Wild Camping opportunity is spoilt for the same reason we have dog-bans on beaches and public places and its the reason I haven't had many opportunities yet for wilding and I understand why land-owners fence-off and put-up in any likely areas.

Mostly I dislike campsites but at least most of the people I have met in my first year were like-minded, they wanted peace-and-quiet-clean-and-tidy. Mostly.

Richard.
