I need a safe place to park in Henley in mid march. I will have had plenty to drink at a wedding reception so needs to be on the basis of definetly not being asked to be moved on and nowhere where the police might get involved.

On this occasion I'm happy to pay a fee but all the local camp sites seem to be closed.

Do any of Henley's car parks allow overnight stops? eg the railway station.

Thanks for the link. I'd found Swiss Farm but the link from the search engine to their web site did not work. Got through straight away on the link you supplied though. Thanks.

what about asking the venue hosting the wedding reception if you can overnight there? We did that at a friends wedding?

There is a camp site open all year at Chertsey. Belongs to the camping and Camping and caravan club. Stayed there last weekend. Maybe it's a bit too far away. About 30 minutes walk to Chertsey station

Hi, there is a car park off Meadow road down near the Rowing museum and next to the river. Now we often moor our boat along that stretch and you have to pay for the night in the car park pay and display machine (£9). Dont live far from there so will check if its OK for a Motorhome next time I am there.

Hi Lottie

I tried that but they were not keen. Must be a very posh place!

I hope you find something, if not, Just turn up, park out of the way up a corner or somat and put a sign in window "with Mr & Mrs x wedding reception" If they ask you to move say you cant as you have had a drink but will be gone 1st thing in the morning? You're no different to anyother guest who has a drink and leaves their car overnight in the carpark??

Been in Henley today. Meadow road is a no no which is surprising given that they encourage mooring on the river there and the car park is next door. Station car park looks OK. Parking for 24 hours there. £4.50 for over 6 hours althgough your ticket runs out a midnight.

Many thanks for all the replys. I'll have a look at the station car park when we get there.
