thanks
tony

Hi Tony,

You may have a job finding wilding spots around Henley-In-Arden and Wooton Wawen because they have a lot of traveller types coming to Henley for the horse fairs they have during the year. The police are pretty hot at moving on anyone who they think may be anything to do with them, ie :- motorhomers and caravanners who appear to be stopped for longer than a couple of hours.

There are a few lay-bys on the road between Henley and Stratford but its very busy and I think there are no overnight parking signs in most of them.

In this area, ( and I live down the road in Redditch ), I would use a camp site.

Hi Tony

I live in Henley and I can not think of anywhere you can stay.

I had arranged with the landlord that the bulls head in Wooton Wawen was going to be a pub stopover for members, but unfortunately it has closed.

There is a layby just before you come into henley from solihull that trucks overnight in, however it is a busy road and I would not want to sleep there.

That's the cafe I was talking about in my last post.

thanks. we got our wires crossed for a bit.transport cafes used to be great. they are a bit scarce since the motorways were built , i would think.
tony

No real transport cafes around in the uk any more, we just have burger vans in lay-bys now. And don't even think about motorway services, can of coke and a sandwich? that'll be £10 please sir!!, and if / when we do get the euro currency you can bet prices will almost double overnight!.
