help wanted re broken bottom glass panel on my spinflo caprice 2040 gas cooker

hi guys... dont ask... but ive managed to shatter the small glass panel on my cooker, the bottom pan storage pop open panel... ive emailed all the usual suppliers. no joys as yet. still a few to get back to me.

just wondering if anyone had any advice re suppliers or breakers... the part number is MAO1070 BGR / BL

You may be able to get a new one cut at your local glass shop, just make sure it is heatproof etc.

Here is some info I saved, cant remember where from, It might be what your looking for. !

I recently broke the glass lid on my sink (smoked, profiled glass) after telephoning numerous dealers and given estimates £100 - £176 + p&p (infact this is the price for a full sink unit but they keep the sink and sell you the glass). This local firm (Leigh, Lanc's) charged me £20 plus VAT the glass was toughened, smoked and more to the point well cut, they was pleasant, professional and certainly value for money, just send them a template and they also post...... great stuff and credit where credits due !

That was me ! these chaps were very helpfull and cheap just cut a template and ask them what you want ie ...smoked glass, heat treated etc, the norm on thickness is 4mm or 6mm, take about 1-2 weeks, I paid £25 for a glass sink cover.
