I have got a new lap top and am in the process of loading everything onto it, but have lost my autoroute disk. Anyone got one they don't want?
Also I want to transfer all my personal data from google earth on my old lappy to google earth on my new one. HOW PLEASE?
I am signed up to the new google earth 6 on the new machine but wasn't signed up to it on the old machine. Any Ideas?

Also what a fiddle. My new machine running windows 7 will not recognise my Office and Publisher disks from my old machine.

There are tools available for Windows XP and later that help move data and settings from one computer to another - usually called 'documents and settings transfer wizard'.

A Google should help you work how best to do this depending on which versions of Windows you are transferring stuff from and to.

Take a look at this for example http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CFwQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhelpdeskgeek.com%2Fwindows-7%2Ftransfer-files-and-settings-windows-easy-transfer%2F&ei=y5TIT-KRMtG10QXel-DJAQ&usg=AFQjCNFi09XjDQ0oLhw6NKY17AxXug8YxA&sig2=13fI3iR2MUfKn1tFKj1xFg

Can't help with the Autoroute disk ...

Which versions of Office and Publisher are you trying to load? I'd expect them to work ...

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris, I have to admit that i have had ms office and pub disks for about 12 years. THEY ARE OFFICE 2000 PROFESSIONAL. and used them on several computers. the last one running windows vista. but wont load onto win 7. I shall google for what you said and see if anything comes up.

Again a quick Google indicates that Office 2000 should install OK under Windows 7.

What happens when you try to install?

Done now thanks chris, wouldnt install with the 25 figure code. but installed ok without the code. Also upgraded to 2010. brilliant. Thanks for your help.
