It’s next to a big car park where MH’s wild camp, Dogs allowed on beach, It was 8 Euro a night, Area is mainly apartments, Very nice sandy beach, Been there a long while but extended into car park, Seems to be two areas an inner and an outer area. You have to climb steps up to the beach.

Stopped last year but cannot find it. Someone told us about it and we wrote it down somewhere.

sounds like the one at playa tavernes . on most maps its tavernes de la valldigna , but really thats inland .
its on the south side of the town.
been an aire several years now .
used to be where doug an ex brit lived in the late 90,s .
it was going to be more apartments but then the finance crash started and the spanish owner i believe sold it all. was a great place years ago. bars just across the road.
also an old cinema in the corner .
Google Maps
hopefully here it is the aire and at the top of pic the steps to the beach.

How the f*** did you get that from the info given ? Last time I looked Spain had a massive coast

i can almost say i know the spanish ,portugese and western france coasts like the back of my hand .
started at the age of 7 going and touring round with my parents . later as a teenager in my own vw . later as my kids grew up we tried to get away as much as possible in autumn and spring when it was quieter down here for work. .for the last 20yrs i have only had 2 winters in uk . even last winter i was here but went for end march .april to cantabria .
tavernes was a regular . we met doug the english guy years ago . he rented the finca there and looked after the stray dogs that were picked up localy. in 2000 he wasnt there and never seen him since .
the parking opposite the bars was a builders yard for years . it was the store yard for the building of the apartments .
we also used to see dutch couple bert and antoinette there as well .selling solar panels etc in later years . they parked in the carpark of the cinema with permission from the owners . many will know the they stay in cullera these days for ages .
i dont like it there now in tavernes . since the aire parking as got difficult .
in the last 15 yrs lots of the old places have changed xeraco used to be real good as well . still some parking there ,but years ago you could edge along the beach south side and park in the sort of dunes . not now .
mind the locals still come and see us if we are around . its almost like going home when we are in many of those places .
glad i got it right though .
was a time i did think of going to live in that area . glad i didnt now ,its changed so much.
