Hi Guys

Havent been on for a while ..had sooo much going on with one thing and another my working life is getting in the way of my fun :lol-053: !! Anyway thought I would make myself all official and become a fully fledged member today. Have not set foot in our campervan in four months but I cant wait for the new year so we can start getting out and about, I have missed my little 'Rosie' and think she has been neglected a little so going to go out at the weekend and give her some TLC.

Got lots of planning to do with our travels and if anyone knows of some great music festivals thier way please give us a shout !!!

Welcome back. I know what you mean by work getting in the way of fun. The big white box parked outside my front door is a powerful reminder of what we should be doing. We will be back on the road tomorrow after 3 months - away for a long weekend in Norfolk over the new-year, including visiting the future in-laws, and then we have 16 days in Portugal in January.

Hi, welcome back. John and I went to our first music festival last year in Cumbria with the family. It was great, just a family, friendly one on the small side compared to others. It's called Solfest and is on August bank holiday weekend. Near Aspatria in Cumbria if Rosie can make it up there.
Joan.

Need to get planning and start thinking some places to go in the coming weeks I can feel my January blues kicking in. Roll on spring :D

Hi,

Music festival sounds good. The Cambridge Rock Festival is early August 3+ days. early bird tickets on sale @ £79 for the weekend plus camping fee. 2/3 stages great varied music, including rock/blues/prog. Larry Miller on Saturday. Check it out. cambridgerockfestival.co.uk. If you fancy a trip up to Skeggy at te end of Jan Rock & Blues festival on at Butlins, very good all undercover and heated. Well that's a couple to be going on with, get booking.
Warm weather, camping & music + beer what more could we ask for.

Hi,

You have soooo much exploring to do!!! We still haven't ticked through half the places we want to visit in the UK, you have passed plenty on the way to Penzance!!!

I'm hoping that 2012 will be good for all of us on here, but make the most of it!!

Enjoy

Hi NicknClaire

I have lived in Sussex (originally from Liverpool) for twenty years and I still find it amazing that there are places that I haven even heard of and been too. Was delighted that I finally got to stay at Stonehenge in the summer (twice !!!! )......Hope you get to tick many more off your list in the coming year.

Hi,
Problem is.......................... the list has grown as just signed up for National Trust Membership!!! Have trawled through a few last night, and OMG there are loads of good looking places.
All the best in your travels, if ya down our neck of the woods, give us a shout and i'll stick the kettle on :D

Hi from the Isle of Wight we have 2 fest's ( IoW festival in June and the Bestival in Sept ) both well worth visiting also the island has great beaches and lovely countryside etc. if you do decide to come book early for festivals , Most campsites do special prices which include ferry costs, otherwise damned expensive. if camper is 6 mtr or less you can use dream ticket on wightlink travel on website after 10pm and before 5 am for about £45.
