Hello from Norfolk

Hello,
I live just outside Norwich in Norfolk. My wife and I are retired, we have a collie dog and an African Grey parrot (God help us).

We are in the process of selling our boat, when we do we intend getting a camper-van, possibly a VW T4.
Can't wait to get out there and explore the UK. I hope to take lots of videos and photos of the places we visit.

We had a couple of camper-vans in the distant past and had lots of fun in them,
along with our children, who now have long flown the nest with families of their own.

"Wildcamping Forum" looks a good forum, seems interesting, informative and friendly. I am sure we will like it on here.
When on our travels we hope to meet other forum members too.

Hope it's not to long before we sell the boat.

Thank you Morganthemoon, Philcott, and Onion for your welcomes. :)

Thank you for your welcomes too, Toonman & wolvesamongus :)

We are not that far from North Walsham.

Welcome - I'm new as well having just bought my/our 1st motorhome 3 months ago - have bought battery assisted bikes as well and we are having fun using those with the motorhome as a base to come back to on days out - hope you enjoy it as much as we do when you buy your camper

Hello and welcome look forward to meeting you at some point in the future - we also enjoy travelling about this is a very good forum with plenty
of people who will help with advice if and when needed. :camper:

There's quite a lot of us in the Norfolk/Suffolk area then! Hope to catch up with you all at one of the meets next year!

Thanks MaryMC, aliwat, GinaRon, and Full Timer.

There does seem to be a lot of members in this area.
Hope its not too long before we get a camper, and able to get along to one of the meets and get to meet some of you.
I will keep that date in mind for "Whitwell station" Full Timer, hopefully we will have a van by then.
(unfortunately it's all down to selling our boat first.)

Bikes sound a good idea aliwat, especially battery powered.. (not a lot of puff for uphill pedaling these days)

We are looking forward to visiting Wales again, GinaRon we'll look out for you.

welcome to a great site ,you will be able to get a few good pointers on here

:welcome:

This is a great forum; you'll love it.

Just don't get upset by the occasional wally (less than 0.001%) that will try to wind people up - ignore them and they will go away.

Have fun . . .

:camper:

Thanks for the welcomes Mandrake & Sky.

Reading my way through the forum topics... lots of interesting posts.

Also taken on board what you say Sky, I will keep that in mind. Thanks.

Welcome to the Site from ....... Attleborough, Norfolk. This is a brilliant way of seeking advice and help about all things motorhome. Hope you get mobile soon, but don't be in a rush to choose a van because there are hundreds for sale out there and you have to make sure that you buy the right one for you.
The monthly download of POI's or places to camp will make your touring worry free and relatively cheap, in this country and also France.
So Good Luck and hope to see you on the road sometime.
Regards to you both,
RoaminRog

Thanks for the welcome RoaminRog. (Roger and Chris),

I agree it is an interesting site.

I always find it a hard job choosing a vehicle,

Thought we would look at the VW T4s as we quite like them,
but we will see what's on offer when the time comes.

I think the POI download is a great idea and I intend to become a full member as soon as we get a van.

Hope we see you on the road in the not too distant future too.
