Hi, my partner and I have just become the proud owners of our very first motorhome, and are very keen to use it . We are hoping to go to Torquay for around four days and were wondering where we could park up, for a night. As we would like to go into town for a night out. and not have to far to stagger
back. All advice about wild camping would be appreciated

Can't help with the parking down there but welcome to the Wild Side anyway Lucy.;)

Someone will no doubt help you in the morning, most are tucked up by now, some Wild crew eh?:D:D

Come to Poole and park up in the Thistle Hotel Car Park on the Quay, pay car park attendant next day........... £4 tell him Peter from Lady K sent you.

Loads of Pubs and Restaurants on the Quay and you can easily 'stagger' back!

Hi Lucy and welcome to the site I am sure somebody will come up with the info you require, what type of M/H have you purchased. Hope all goes well with your trip to Torquay.

Hi Lucy,
Drove around Torquay looking but none suitable found, So went to Brixham past the harbour and up the hill to the left, Around and down following the river, and onto the large car park where motorhomes are welcome. Do not however go further into the lower end, as no overnight camping allowed there. Nice and cheap at £1.60 a night, and a short walk alang the path to Brixham itself. In the season try to get an end pitch as you may get boxed in with cars. When leaving go the same way out as you may get stuck in the tight back roads as I did. Great place to camp, and been there twice myself in the last month. It's now on my good list along with Dawlish Warren and Fowey. Happy wild camping. Rgd's Graham.
