Just to say hello to all, couldn't believe there was a site dedicated to wild camping - right up my street!
Am returning to this fantastic way of life following a 6 year break because of family commitments, but now in the market for a van conversion with first trip planned - whole of next April (2012) then for September too! I am a full-time carer and these breaks will be my respite. Have my eyes on a couple of vans but first job is to widen the access to driveway a bit, vehicle will also double for taking a disabled person out in a wheelchair.
Longest trip I've done in past was 6 months virtualy all wild camping in 2003 across France and Spain, overwintering in Mojacar area, with just occasional night on site for essential riddance and restocking! Best months of my life - free as the wind and endless beautiful spots for overnighting.
Trying to decide where to head next April? Have done France, Spain, Belguim and Holland in recent years so fancy a change. Wonder what Greece is like in April?
