heki rooflight

hi there

my heki electirc rooflight is stuck open, dont think its a fuse and i have had a look and i have pulled the two levers at the side of the runners but it wont release it.
im in france it is raning & wondering if i should use my breakdown company as we cant go anywhere in the van with the roof open

Our Heki lecky rooflight has the ability to be wound down mechanically, check yours has a circled plastic cover near the middle of the window which I believe should be prised off to reveal the mechanics.

i gave it a try and one loud bang later it came lose and came down ;~}

Hi dunk,

I remember reading a thread on one of the forums a while ago about them sticking.

If you do a google you might find it. I believe that a slight mod needs doing to the arms to prevent this happening. You can do it yourself. You may have to as I think there was no recall for this problem.

If my memory serves me right (highly unlikely these days ) it might have been on Motorhomefacts.
