While away last week, it got a bit chilly and the wife asked to put the heating on for a while.......Its a blown air Trauma unit, used the control panel to turn it on, it started up OK, fan started started blowing warm air from outlets for about 30secs then stopped.
On the dial it was showing the green light, then when stopped showed the green & red
light, tried a few times but would just not stay on ??
Any help appreciated.

The thermocouple is probably not in the correct place to feel the heat off the gas jet. You must be getting gas so it must be on the electrical side. It could be a bad connection also.

Try adjusting the position of the thermocouple and gently blow any dust off the jet area, if that does not work, check that your flue is not blocked.

Hi John, I was on the mains.

Hi Devonlad

Was your mains charging your batteries. This happened to us a couple of weeks ago on hookup, the switch on the charger itself, located under the bed, had got knocked off by accident.

Our Truma Water heater and E4000 space heater displayed the same symptoms as you describe. We thought we had a gas fault but then the inverter started to scream which is a sign of overload/low voltage. We only had the Sky Box connected so we knew it wasn't overload. The lights were working ok as was the TV and water pump. We switched the charger on and everything was OK.

Have you tried the heater since you got back from the trip? What is your battery voltage? Which Truma heater have you got?

Many Thanks for all the tips, will go over to van tomorrow check it out.
Will let you know.

Regards

Devonlad
