"Wow that took a long time to explain a simple topic. Now I understand why lawyers are paid by the hour!"
One mat done for sleeping in back seat of car as drunk in charge, also a uncle done for having the keys of car in pocket & car parked on street in Bangor town, again drunk in charge, dont come here and try it as are cops are like magnets to this.
Yeah that would be fun. Copper says, right! you cant park there off you go and Julie gets her first drive in the middle of the night while your shitfaced and the back seat driver. I can just imagine how that would go. I actually did the opposite. I took Michelle off the insurance after a year so that could never happen.
should even the one shandie pass the lips if wild camping and it being not that unlikely to have a need to depart at short notice?
As you say, plain common sense, but too many have none without a single drink

I Think the worst scenario I could think of was undesirables turning up or the usual "mad axe murderer". Then you are a bit stuffed for moving on if you are drunk. I got round this by naming my wifi hot spot actually "Mad Axe Murderer". As we know undesirables and other mad axe murderers always have phones and when they are looking for wifi they clearly see there is one already in the area and move on. Works for me.

There are several defenses for driving whilst drunk, avoiding a 'mad axe murderer' should work. Even on a campsite you might have to move your vehicle, say if a fire breaks out and the nearest place of safety is a road. One of my first experiences of wild camping was having parked up and having a few drinks, later that night a 'riot' broke out and we legged it, my defense if I had been stopped would have been 'that I had no intention of driving and had to move under duress', no idea if it would have been accepted, but lesson learnt and we don't drink if wilding anymore.
