Having a dash cam could invalidate your insurance

I like my plugs as i can swith of or use for other things like charging kids phones laptops or tablets, i have them on the dash and above side seats plus above beds down the back of the van, but to each there own as no sys is right or wrong, all depends on requirements.
Trev because I have wired my dash cams in, my 12v sockets are hardly used. It’s a win win on that front Trev.

I do hope all you with Dashcams have a notice clearly stuck to all corners of your vehicle stating you are using recording equipment and the devices are positioned so not to be looking into your neighbours garden or private areas.

Just saying....

Interested to see any rule that suggests dash cam fitted to a private vehicle needs any stickers informing of dash cam usage.
No, dash cams for personal use in private vehicles do not typically require a legal notice in the UK.While they are legal to use, businesses using dash cams in fleet vehicles may need to comply with GDPR and may need to display a notice indicating the presence of a camera.

Had a discussion onsite with council officer about fly tipping, it is perfectly legal for a person to fit trail cams to monitor their gateways, for the council or company they need to put up signs saying cameras in use!
