Hello
We always travel on the Eurotunnel but living in Suffolk I have been looking at the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry and from there driving down to Granada. The thought of avoiding the M25 and Dartford crossing is quite appealing but I was wondering what driving from the port in Holland is like and is it a fairy easy route down to, say Lyon, and then cross to Spain as we usually do?
Google maps says the journey is around 300kms longer from Holland compared to Calais - does this sound about right?
Any comments, past experiences or advice would be appreciated on this route.
Many thanks - 4 more weeks and work finishes for a few months (privileges of working at an international school - 8 week summer hols Cant wait to hit the road again!!
James.
