I wouldn't stay there.
Not a respected site among locals. More a DHSS residential site.
I used to live in Harrogate and still visit frequently.
This is my personal opinion, you must draw your own conclusions.
Not much choice near the town centre.

HI oddjob, I live locally but have never ventured in ...

Its location fits your requirements very well and there are some reviews here ... Shaws Trailer Park Reviews, Harrogate Campsites

In essence its a residential static caravan park in the middle of a housing estate ... its one way to miss the beautiful Yorkshire countryside that surrounds Harrogate I suppose.

There are many other local sites ... all much nicer ;)

Ripley Caravan Park , Harrogate , North Yorkshire

Great Yorkshire Showground Caravan Club Site , Harrogate , North Yorkshire

Church Farm Caravan Park , Harrogate , North Yorkshire

are three very different sites but all are worth a stay and the first two a short hop in a Taxi (or bus) to town.

there are plenty more good ones too ... and a load of farm based CLs etc.

A lot of CC Club sites are open to non-members but not all.

The small 5 van sites (CL`s) are exclusively for CC members. After saying that, if you ask to stay on one off season when they are very quiet, you probably will not be turned away........nudge, nudge, wink, wink.;)

Just visited the same area and can recommend a couple of cl's 1 x £5 and 1 x £4 night - no electric if you are interested.

Both cl's
Moorcock hall Farm, Scotton, Knaresbrough. £4 night. about 2-3miles ish walk from harrogate or knaresborough.
Park House, Burton Leonard, Harrogate. £5 night. in the middle of nowhere about 6miles up the road towards Ripon.
Ian.

actually that one might not be there anymore as they have one in Knaresbrough too (well worth a visit) ... shows how often I camp within 7 miles of my house ;)
Membership is (only) worth it for the CLs but CC sites are too POSH for us as a rule :D
