Didn't take long for the habitation door to stop working with the remote. It's lasted 2 months. It is about time these manufacturers started producing good quality components rather than sub standard. I did have a choice, could have just booked it in to Southdowns and a round trip of 300 odd miles or just investigate myself. Tried the usual trick of cleaning the door contacts and when that didn't work I removed the contact block that has the square pins in it. It was plain to see the small green wire which should be connected to the bottom pin had snapped. The little ferrel they had fitted was still there trapped in place by a very very grub screws. Not much to play with but did manage to solder on a couple of extra lengths of cable so when it breaks again I will have some spare. Bit of a fiddly job as had to be careful not to cut through the wire while stripping the outer covering.

Sorted and all working again. Took about 30 minutes

Mine, with the same type of contacts, is still working fine after almost 2 years
( that’s done it now.........)

My van dose not have contacts it just twists the wire ,canr believe its lasted 6 years

Not good to by a motorhome a .long way from home

We don't have much choice round here. Lowdhams, Brownhills and SMC. Have dealt with two of them and never again and the other has so many bad reviews it's not worth the risk. The Carthago we bought had just what we wanted. Nine Speed Automatic, Twin double beds, 6.4m length and 3500kg. We have dealt with Southdowns in Portsmouth before and they have always gone the extra mile so we went there again.
