Hello Everybody and I hope you are all having a great weekend so far
I wanted to say thanks for this fantastic forum. I joined a while back as a freebie and I have certainly appreciated all of the tips and information that I have found here since joining; so thanks to everyone for sharing. Today I was able to upgrade myself to a full member, which I have wanted to do since I joined. Happy Camper
I've been doing my own build...of sorts...in a Transit Hi-Top, using - for the most part - found, scrounged, donated, re-used materials and so far, I have spent a total of approx 6 weeks actually living in it and I'm just having a blast!
I love the space of my little van, even though it's a slow process. I have bought all of my lighting, a leisure battery, split charge relay, etc, but have none of it installed yet....so am still enjoying candlelit evenings and once the battery on the cell is gone, I don't fret. It's a great way to enjoy some good books or maybe take in whatever view I have managed to find myself parked at and take in a walk.
I have insulated all the walls with 200mm insulation, built a bed, a kitchen and some storage, shelves, etc and so far, apart from really wanting to get the walls finished, I'm quite happy to take off anywhere I please. I have a sink/stove combo but as yet, am still using a camping stove which, as you all probably know, is working out just fine
Time for me to hit the road, there are sprinkles of sunshine and I'm heading for the Kent Coast. I wish you all a great weekend wherever you are and hopefully, you are not being ravaged by the awful weather that we are having this week.
Many thanks to all,
Shell
