Hi All,
Is anyone spending Halloween weekend in Scarborough? We have decided that rather than spend the weekend answering the door to either spotty little tykes with a toothless grin, or, skinny little buggers dressed in a tacky plastic mask asking 'trick or treat' We decided that we would abscond to the delights of Scarborough. Hopefully, there are not too many merry 'big' tykes.banging on the the van who think this is fun:D Our only solace is that we have an air rifle2.2and a 177 pistol, and lets face it 'in the face of adversity' you have to protect yourselves!! Halloween or not!
DO NOT BE AFRAID - WE REALLY ARE FRIENDLY MOTORHOMERS!!

Saturday evening might be quite atmospheric around the harbour just up the road in Whitby considering its attractions to those fascinated by Dracula, goths etc.

Have fun in Scarborough.

Channa

Soz can't as we're going to the meet in Norfolk. Why don't you join us in the fun there.. the more the merrier and it's all in aid of charity.
Sue :)

Sorry guy,s unfortunatly cant make the hayfield meet ( Time not on our side this time :( ) but thanks for the offer maybe next time.

This message is for anyone who is not going away this weekend.

Tomorrow, go out and treat yourself to a big box of Ferrero Roche, a small cheap bar of chocolate and a bag of Brussel Sprouts.

Carefully remove all of the wrappers on the Ferrero Roche.
Melt the cheap bar of chocolate and coat the Brussel sprouts in chocolate
Carefully wrap the Brussels in the Ferrero Roche wrappers.
Give the treats to the little ghoulies and ghosties on Saturday.

If you think I am a nasty horrible person, remember that the greedy mothers will keep the "Ferrero Roche" for themselves as they are every bit as evil as their children. ;)

Saturday night, put your feet up with a good bottle of wine
Because you`re worth it. :D

We're thinking of heading up there- first timers.

What's the consensus regarding a good spot to Wild-it where we won't get disturbed in the middle of the night?

Cheers,

Thank Art.

I'll try to find the RNLI place, is it quiet even on a Sat / Fri naight?

Also, whats the state of play at Sea-life / Scalby mills these days?
Does it attract the wrong sort e.g. hoodies and boy-racers or is that quiet too?

Cheers,

Scalby Mills is dead quiet - until 3 in the morning.

See my post on the place. Had to call the cops.

Will not be at home coolie baby. Northumberland is a big county if you want to find me. :D

We forgot to buy the Brussels and are legging it to the hills instead. :(

We would have been there alreay but one of the whippets ripped herself open this morning and had to be rushed to the vets.

On the bright side, she is in better condition than the rabbit. :D

Just an update,
Had a good quite couple of nights although we did,nt get away from a knock on the door at about 7.30 pm on sat night from a couple of little uns trick or treating from another van parkd near us who were very polite and quite refreshing:) ( just wondered if the little uns bolonged to one of our clan ?.)
Got a pint in for old arthur at the lord nelson but had to drink it myself has it was a no show probably the fact that he would have to do a duet with me in the karaoke:eek:. There were about 7 or 8 vans parked near us at the pumping staition which was good ,if you were there let us know also MinusNothing looked out for you too but had no clue of your van:rolleyes:.
