Hailstones And Solar Panels

Something I've never worried about.... ............. until now ! :(
Thanks for that.. :)

The quality solar panels are guaranteed to be resistant to damage
from hailstones, (up to a specified size) or an impact equivalent standard.
I doubt if the el cheapo brands would have this, at least I've never seen it
stipulated on the panel or any accompanying document on the Chinese makes.

Solar panels would be the last thing to worry about. Roof lights vents, roof damage .water damage .last year I had to have new conservatory roof hailstorm damage.

In South Africa it was common to see golf ball sized hailstones, sometimes even bigger so the second hand car market was full of hailstone damaged cars, it is also why we had a beautiful house with a corrugated tin roof

For accurate local forecast I use the YR app, far better than Accuweather or the Met Office. Once got caught in a hail storm, being a bald git, it didn't half hurt, had the dog on a lead and used my free hand to protect her head. DOH.

Now that would be a worry I hadn’t thought about, thanks Ral, more sleepless nights :)

I have a few long strands of hair left but top now resembles a billiard ball and I am guessing it would sting quite a bit. Isn’t it good we have all these changing things to enhance our waking hours as we get older, keeps us on our toes :)

Actually, thinking about it, keeps you lot on your toes haha

Count yourself blessed Neil, you can go for the coiffed look by wrapping your ponytail around your pate at least a dozen times.
Me, I would have to shave my pubes and go for the wiry grey afro look. Hmmm, now there's an idea?
