GoPro Hero 2018

I’m considering a GoPro hero 2018 to use when out and about but also to record some of the Motorhome travels.

Does anyone use a GoPro for this very reason and how do you find the footage and do you find the supplied mounts work in the Moho.

I currently use a Garmin camera for my motorhome and motorbike trips, mainly because I can control it from my Garmin Zumo when on the motorbike. The GoPro is an excellent camera and should give you excellent footage, beware though that like everything digital and such high quality needs lots of memory cards, even if you download everyday (not always feasible on a motorbike trip) my Garmin runs out of space before it runs out of battery life! On the mount side if you want the best get a RAM mount suction cup,
a RAM mount arm and finally a RAM Mount ball adaptor for your chosen camera.

I use a dash cam permanently fitted to the screen, if I wish to save some of the footage I can take out the card and save it.
I also have a Stealth 2 Drift camera, which I use on a daily basis as a crash helmet cam for my commute to and from work.
The Drift camera is a lot more flexible in its use (in my opinion) as I have compared through use against the Go Pro which we have at work.
The Drift can be mounted at any angle as the lens can be rotated to suit the horizon.

Ours sits nicely on top of the dash. Easy to use. Can be set to auto loop so records 20 minutes and then keeps going round. Picture quality is very good.

I use a contour roam 3 (and a 2) on the bike and a transcend in the van/car.

The vid/audio on the contours isn't quite as good as the GoPro, but I've crash tested the MK2 with no damage (to it, I got several broken ribs and had to rebuild the front of the bike). It's also waterproof, can be operated with a gloved hand and is good for 4.5hrs per charge (plus you don't look like a Teletubby when it's on your lid)

No complaints about the transcend. I seem to recall that the low light recording quality is not as good on the 100 as it is on the 200 and newer.
