Glow sticks

Just got hold of some glow sticks,has any one used them when out wild camping.They give off a nice light when nothing else about.

Hi Gary,
We usually let the kids use them, throwing them to eachother in the dark, then they use them as a night light. However, we have had some from Soccer sports (shop) and they leaked. nasty stuff.

I aquired these for nothing,so thought i would try them out.These are sealed and are ok will be carefull,seems only a slight bend sets them off.

Happy New Year, I was given a wind up lantern by Santa, a bit like me... not the brightest lamp in the van... but not bad.
1 min winding gives up to 20min light, you can switch from 4, 8 to 12 LED's on, gave a bit of background light, but wouldn't say you could read by it, unlike the mini U shape strip light lantern which is almost as bright as a Gaz lantern!
