Hi all, I'm Nick, 44 from Hertfordshire and it's nice to meet you all👌🏼
I'm currently going back to my childhood/teen roots of wild camping to sooth my soul. I spent many years in the army cadets and going camping with my friends growing up and am at one with nature and my tent/bivvy/hammock lol. I've been doing a spot of wild camping in some local woods, but I'm looking for a nice place to go away for a week to chill out and relax with my 2 dogs. Any quiet and picturesque location suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance 🙌🏼

Nice intro!
A group of us are in Norway for the summer!
Amazing views but you’d need more than a week, another member will be along with some suggestions , joining the group as a full member lets you have access to all our parkup areas

Welcome from Bedfordshire.

I still love tent camping but now have a campervan and the tent only gets used when motorcycling (between bikes at the moment).

I still have my DD hammock as well and Rab Bivvy bag which I used in the Cairngorms. Getting a bit old for it now but still love it.

Hence i have said many times this site has the wrong name for what we do.
All 3 sites should be brought together under a new name.

Not sure I understand you there Trev?

'Wildcamping for Motorhomes', 'Motorhomer.com' and 'Motorhome Builder' - what could be more clear than that?

Each site is designed for different audiences even though they all stem from the original one.

I think it is the "Wildcamping" bit that maybe could do with a revamp. What we do is not camping and with our facilities, it is certainly not wild. But the web address is what it is so it won't change.
