Getting back into wild camping 🏕️

Hi all, I'm Nick, 44 from Hertfordshire and it's nice to meet you all
I'm currently going back to my childhood/teen roots of wild camping to sooth my soul. I spent many years in the army cadets and going camping with my friends growing up and am at one with nature and my tent/bivvy/hammock lol. I've been doing a spot of wild camping in some local woods, but I'm looking for a nice place to go away for a week to chill out and relax with my 2 dogs. Any quiet and picturesque location suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance

A group of us are in Norway for the summer!
Amazing views but you’d need more than a week, another member will be along with some suggestions , joining the group as a full member lets you have access to all our parkup areas

Good luck to you.

This website is mainly directed at people who own motorhomes, converted vans, etc.
Folk who don't like using campsites and dedicated cheapskates, who prefer not to pay site fees.

Enjoy your tent, but I think there are groups that are better matched to your requirements.

Welcome from Bedfordshire.

I still love tent camping but now have a campervan and the tent only gets used when motorcycling (between bikes at the moment).

I still have my DD hammock as well and Rab Bivvy bag which I used in the Cairngorms. Getting a bit old for it now but still love it.

I think it is the "Wildcamping" bit that maybe could do with a revamp. What we do is not camping and with our facilities, it is certainly not wild. But the web address is what it is so it won't change.
