Whats wrong with soup & paddy in the same bowl.
WINTER SOUP.
4 large onions, finely sliced.
2oz butter
3/4 pt. milk
fresh parsley
1/2 chicken stock cube
2oz flour
small/large glass of whisky
season to taste.

Melt the butter in a large pan, toss in onions and cook gently until transperant. Stir in flour and cook for a minute or two, gradually add the milk and stir at the same time until creamy.
Crumble in the stock cube, stir in the parsley, still stiring until nicely blended. Season.
Take off the heat and add the whisky just before pouring into dish. If you want, add croutons, or grated cheese, or both if you want.
Wash it down with a couple more whisky's.

Taken from Favourite Recipes with Scotch Whisky.

If it kills you, its nowt to do with me, I only got it out of the book. (hope that covers me).
Cheers, AJ....no I cant have him taking the blame, he's enough to worry about.
Cheers, Pete
