Just wondering if anyone knows where the beach hut is? What beach is this?

Didnt George say which beach the hut was from when he went there with Will to dismantle it ? Cant recall the name though, too much Muscadet ! I know Wills workshop is near Battle/ Hastings way , so it must be on the south coast ⚓

When they sailed out the harbour there was many wild horses. Could it have been near the new forest?

I should have said that I ask because it looked so nice that I need to visit but I have no clue where it was.

Could've been christchurch, there's a spit of sand with beach huts on it at the mouth of the river.

Christchurch spit, I used to have a boat on the river there, very, very expensive beach huts.
I think you could build an amazing space in the time it takes to get to something new in the program, you see the beginning and then suddenly you see the finished space, a good idea spoilt by tedium.

I think it's called "coffee table" viewing :)

We watched with great interest the one on the ex church on Berneray and dammed if we could figure out where the ruin was. Then this year we found out why: the building had been converted some 5 years ago and we had looked at it many times from a distance not realising what it was...LOL

every new series i really try to watch-it should be really interesting,it's my kind of thing.
but 10 minutes of chubby George, finding everything 'amazing!' and 'genius!' while banging on about his latest self-indulgent tree-house in the moors,or wooden castle on a Scottish loch or a stupid cabin/boat thing, while barely glimpsing the occasional real amazing space, and i'm turning over
bloody presenters ruining perfectly good programmes !
Dan Cruikshank- old Castles- ruined by this old nutter scurrying about waving his mad old hands about like he's conducting an orchestra
the Snows- barking at the microphone like a couple of angry alsatians
Alice Roberts- nothing wrong with her at all !

Fully agree Nigel.

Especially about Alice Roberts, well worth watching!

Another irritation with many of what I call the 'new' style of documentary is when the presenter says, "And now I'm going to find out how......"
If they didn't already know, how can they make a program about it?

Alice, Alice, who the **** is Alice? To quote Royston.

Totally agree Mr B. What bugs me is that most overspend and still don't get something that's fit for purpose. The American school bus last night, supposed to be for festivals, didn't have a toilet and he had to rig up a shower outside. As for his floating beach hut.... And don't get me started about that cost of that old ambulance conversion from the first series.

God, I'm beginning to sound like me dad.

If memory serves the ambulance cost as much as a decent second hand motorhome!

Exactly, they should've just bought a motorhome instead of squeezing 2 adults, 4 children and a dog into such a small space. It must be like the black hole of Calcutta in hot weather.

I was just thinking last night that George is definitely putting some extra pounds on. Not sure they made the best use of that bus, but what a great vehicle to convert.

George Clarke's latest project of a beach hut was a strange project. He bought a run down beach hut and most of the wood was unusable. It would have been easier and cheaper to build from scratch, but I guess that doesn't make good telly. I would like to see more time given to each project so we get more information about these projects and not just a beginning and end.
