Gel Battery 103AH

I looked at buying some similar standby type batteries last year but the ones I saw were just that bit too long to fit where they had to go.

I have 2 x 110ah lead acid ones now, the price was right and they seem to be working ok, but best of all.... they fit in the hole!!!!

if thats your van its the same as mine i think, does your leisure battery go behind the gas fire at the back, Thats where mine is and it just fit diagonally nice and snug. Will see how it goes for now.:D:D

The advantage of gel is that you can install them any way up you want to, often getting one larger gel into the space occupied by two wet cell.

Yep..... that's our Minnie, Elddis Autotstratus, that's right they fit behind the gas fire under the wardrobe. I was going to buy two so they would'nt have fitted diagonally. :(

Shame really, they were a very good price, about £45 each I think, ideal to fit and forget. I'll just have to check these ones I've fitted a couple of times a year to see if they need topping up. They're charged by the solar panel on top of the pod when it's standing so hopefully they'll last a fair time. They came with a 4 year guarantee but I doubt any battery of that type will last that long!
