Gas Useage?

Hi everyone.

I know this is probably going to be a difficult one to answer, but here goes.

We have 2 refillable Gaslow bottles. One is 11kg & other is a 6kg which were filled up when we picked up our motor home, a month ago.
Now when we are parked up the fridge runs on gas to a reasonable temperature setting. We probably boil a few kettles of water a day as I enjoy my good old British cuppa. We cook a saucepan of spuds along with eggs in the same saucepan at night for our salads. Heat the hot water up & have to date had the heating on perhaps 3 times for about an hour.

Now my gas indicators show I have gas but we seem to be out of gas.
So we'll go to a Shell garage & fill up with LPG to see how much gas we have used.

So now to my ?
How do you users find your gas useage & is there any appliances which eat gas & how long do you think 2 gas bottles should last for?

Hi , as to gas usage, i run a refillable 11Kg i spend a lot of time on the road i run a fridge, cook every day, heat the water up for a shower once a day, boil a kettle for tea and washing up etc, thats for 2 of us, if i fill up with gas every 2 weeks i never run out of gas i do carry a spare cylinder hooked up just in case but never use it, hope this helped some . all the best Bob

Like *****, we use a 13kg Propane and carry a 6/7kg Propane which we use for the portable BBQ and have an adapter so it can fuel the motorhome as well.
The 13kg ran out last month in Lincoln after almost a year and has lasted 19 'wild' nights and 15 campsite nights, I've split the nights for you as most campsites now include hook-up so if it's cold we run a small fan heater and would put the fridge on electric (if I remember!). So there you are 34 nights, and a few days out.

We have a 3 ring gas hob, a small grill/mini over, a 3 way fridge and the 'killer', blown hot air central heating and hot water boiler. The BBQ bottle is still going strong.
