don't know the figures ,not mega amounts, but I would get another bottle !

I Gooooooogled it for you

Gas consumption @ ambient temp +25°C 170g/24 hrs

So 6kg / 0.17 = 35 Days ..

So I think I would get another bottle and just in case get another as a spare .. :sucks: Gas

Good idea to get a spare bottle, just in case. Nothing worse than stocking up the 'fridge, and then running round like a headless chicken trying to find replacement gas bottle.

Regards Rog.

The gas is used quickly with the fridge running. Last summer my 6kg bottle was only lasting about 15 days on average...but it was turned up full. And that includes cooking. We do use freezer blocks to try and not have to switch it on. And always freeze a ltr of water at home so we have nice ice cold drinking water for a couple of days and really helps keep the small fridge cold. With no fridge on my 6kg bottle has lasted 5 months and still going. We stay in the van for about 4-5 days a week. We always carry 2 bottles. As said there is nothing worse than running out of gas when you have just parked up for the night or for the first cup of tea in the morning lol

We always carry 2x6kg bottles with us, but i have just canibalised the gas room locker and now have a 13kg and a 6kg for back up, as it's only used for cooking and the fridge when wilding it should last awhile....We have diesel for heating (webasto).!

13kg lasts us 30-35 days ,using fridge and cooker. Heating is on diesel.

Whatever size bottle or what the gas is used for, I would always carry a spare. If space is tight have a small spare or even a camping gaz bottle which is dear but has the advantage of being easy to obtain on the continent.

Without doubt as previous posters have said you need 2 bottles.
Odds on if you only have 1 bottle it will run out at the most inappropriate time.

Happened to my mate whilst using gas for cooking.

Is no one using those new light gas bottles? You can see the gas level in them or failing that, get a meter.
