Hi.
Does anyone know if it is compulsory to have a current gas test certificate in European countries? The unmentionable Swift dealer always gave us a certificate along with our habitation check, however although the NCC mobile workshop we now use does check the gas system and does a pressure test, they don't issue a certificate other than a tick on the habitation service checklist.

Err what? Never been asked or had one to our knowledge. And you know where we’ve been.
Is it something we should have had?

Err. Dunno. Hence the question. By chance we’ve been catching up on where you’ve been this afternoon...oooh! I only asked because with barges in France it was compulsory. Since GC used to give us one I wondered why, since it wasn’t like them to give you something they didn’t need to.

Europe works to EN1949 same as the UK that covers caravans and motorhomes including statics, boats are a separate module.

To the best of my knowledge a certificate is only required if renting. same as the uK

As an aside it is a cheap move the NCC don't issue a more comprehensive certificate stating standing pressures. pressures of appliances in use time out of fsds etc it demonstrates the inspection carried out perhaps correctly
