Hi people,

Does anyone know of a company who will carry out a service check on my gas system & aplliances near to Ayr, or willing to travel to Ayrshire?

I've been looking about on the net & have had no luck.

Hi hairytoes,
put (caravan/motorhome sales in Ayrshire) into your search engine. These people usualy have workshops who can carry out the pressure test.
Some regulators will tell you if you have a leak (colour coded dial).

Happy Camping:)

Greetings folks from Ochiltree.

Park's garage down past B&Q's near Heathfield has an approved guy who will do this for you. They were very helpful when, to kill an hour, I popped in to view their MH's last week.

Off in the old Hymer to try out the wild camping thing over the weekend!! hoping for blue sky's.

I have used the following company for such things in the past and are very good people to deal with.

Motorhomes Workshop based in Carstairs

They are about 50 miles from you but I don't know if they still travel. If it is a one day thing you can drop motorhome in morning, visit nearby Lanark or New Lanark and pick up later. I have done that a few times.

Cheers

Sorry to return here sounding pedantic, but I would never trust a regulator to establish a leak.

Indeed the pressure test you refer to using a manometer will identify a dodgy regulator and furthermore any tolerances in the system that are not acceptable.
