"Gas It" Bottles, anyone bought them/using them.

Thanks again Techno.

The on bottle adapter looks like the way to go for my current van, then go for a two bottle set up with a body mounted filler on the next van.

Very helpful mate.

Winks

Mine has been left at the local post office by parcel force GRrrrrrrr
Had they taken it back to the depot I could have collected it up to 7p.m.
Are they stupid? I never asked for that

Wifey collected our bottle and it was well packaged enough to avoid the parcel force curse.
Having inspected the bottle I must report that upon turning the gas isolation valve the whole fitting turned. I tightened it up but then the threaded output was pointing the wrong way and if you have the level indicator gauge this would render the float inoperable.
I don't lay this problem at Hamilton Gas's door as it is GASLOW who are responsible for manufacture/testing & certification.
Fortunately I'm skilled enough to sort it myself but some folk would have connected it up only to find gas leaking at high pressure upon filling it.
SO CHECK YOUR BOTTLES take nothing for granted.

refillable gas bottles

Looks fine whilst i'm in the UK, problem will be 8 months abroad!! At least I can get the adapters for EU countries for the other bottles (unless someone has another idea of course :D ), plus I understand that some French fourcourts get arsy if you are seen filling a bottle instead of a dedicated point on the van??

yeah, that's right you'll have problems just about anywhere, once they realise your filling a cylinder with a direct to cylinder adaptor they'll stop
you in your tracks, see my earlier response, also lpg filling stations are as common as rocking horse poo in mainland Spain, but no problem the rest
of Europe, and no chance in Morocco, hope this helps. gwyntaxi.

As long as you have the certificate for the bottle re 80% shut off then you should be ok where English is spoken.
Personally I hate the stress of even attracting attention so I've even swerved the inside locker fill point in favour of mounting mine on my towbar
