There's a few options about - how about Weber's "Baby Q"? Weber's are always good quality. I think Outback do a small gas model as well (cheaper than the Weber but still decent quality) but i cant remember the name, also i think camping gaz do a 2 burner stove with legs (folding) that has a griddle plate that fits over the burners. Any of these will run on whatever gas you have by using the apropriate regulator. Burden Group is another brand that is decent quality for a budget price, and the Cadac ones are said to be excellent.

Can you tell i used to be in the BBQ trade? :lol-053:

This is what I use Item number: 22080853645 on ebay £24-75 free postage. Portable gas bbq

We have the small Cadac safari chef - these are 5 in one! BBQ, griddle, gas ring, wok etc, small, not too heavy and in a zip bag. There's a Low Pressure for running off gas canisters and a HP for running off a gas bottle, we use the van bottle HP. Would recommend to anyone wanting a smallish multi BBQ, bought from Towsure many years ago, can't remember how much but was on offer at the time.

I'm looking at the Cadac Safari Chef too - just waiting for one to come up near me on Ebay.

Just to avoid possible confusion, the HP version runs directly off gas canisters that you attach to the barbecue, the LP version is for running off a separate gas cylinder via a regulator.

Does this mean you put an external connector in, or is it an extension off the pipes in the gas locker and you open the locker when in use?

Also, where does the fat go when you are cooking? The thought of having to clean everything every time it's used is a bit frightening.

hi to one and all we have used a cadac for well over five years but last year we found a new trick. If you you place a none stick oven sheet on top of the cadac and cook on that you never have to wash the cadac .Just wash the sheet happy camping
