Hi All, Just joined and looking to head for the Galloway Coast this weekend. I am still having trouble trying to download the "POI" and wondered if any one knew of a good place to stop over for a couple of days?
 
Good choice. We were down there for the first time 3 weeks ago and fabulous area. Stayed at Isle of Whithorn . Just follow road down to the end of the pier and park on grass field. Kirkcudbright is a beautiful town and site in the middle of the town. Follow signs for the swimming pool and carry on to grass area beside the estuary. Beautiful bay and beach at
54.788092,-4.123052 Brighouse Bay DG6 4TS. There are lots of places but hope the above helps

St Medan

Further round form Isle of Whithorn turn of the A747 and go down the hill past the St Medan Golf club all the way to the end. At the Carpark there is a toilet and tap and the views are outstanding. We stayed 2 nights there this August.
