There are 4 ferries on this route
Finding it difficult to get a realistic cost as the various companies display 2 prices
Also I believe https://www.autopassferje.no/?lang=en gives significant discount
also https://www.autopass.no/en/q-a#mytolltagagreement

From our experience short ferries which are part of the road system are arounf £20 fo a 20 min crossing and £50 for a tourist ferry to Lodingen ( 1 hour )
in 2016 we spent a total of £300 on Ferries and road/tunnel tolls within Norway. Expecting more as we have other ferries not included on this route.
also not clear if road tolls are included in the ferry price (could be as easy way to collect)

I have an answer from the tourist Office
You need autopass anyway to pay for the road tolls

We are in the 6 to 7m class but it goes up to 8metres
so a total of 2256 Kroner or £192 for all but you get a 50% discount with the card from

So less than £100 plus maybe another £30 ?
We will need maybe 3 other ferrsies as well.
The road tolls are described as minimal

So next thing is to work out if it is cheaper to use the
A) Puttgarden-Rodby ferry combined with the Oresund Bridge
Or the
B) Storebaelt and Oresund Bridges
From Kiel both about 5hrs but the 2 Bridges route is 90 miles longer
Prefer the 2 bridges route ( with 1 overnight in Denmark) just depends on the price differential ?

I'd prefer the 2 bridge route too.
Quite like Roskilde for a night stop, if it works out timing place.
Nice enough town, viking museum pretty good and a couple of ok places to park up.
