Full timing there is an answer

Hi howerdirine

Going full timing is unbelievably rewarding, interesting, and worth doing, but there is a reality that you must realise, how long is full time? This is a question we spent hours agonising whilst we were writing Go Motorhoming Europe, we lived in our Hymer for 18 months had an RV before that then lived in a tourer for 6 months. We have now settled down again, we had to, writing the book was so time consuming and now we are selling it we are tied down. We are intending to migrate south this winter to join the sensible sunseakers, sales should have slowed down a bit by then.

My point is it took us 18 months to do our research and we were thorough, but we made so many mistakes, now you can find out everything you need to know in a couple of days, honestly it's that detailed.

Go Motorhoming
Full time, half time, any time, with you all the way.

Full-Timing

We did NO research. We went to Spain for a 3 month tour (never been before that) to see what it was like? We spent the next 2 years working the Summer Season (Karaoke) and living in a Caravan on a campsite. We retired October 1996. We spent a total of 5 years being Full-Time campers with a Camper for touring. We then decided to buy a large RV and go touring Full-Time and Wild-Camping to boot. 6 years and counting so far. Here, Europe and the USA. Total of 11 years Full-Timing. We have no regrets. Except that there is not enough time to do ALL we would like to do.
