Full timing

Hi All.
My name is David but I'm known as "Bing".
My wife and I are going full timing as soon as we can sell the darn house.
I am fairly sure that we are going to go to Germany to buy a motorhome.
The home market seems to be swamped with those with lumps on the front. I'm sorry but I don't like them at all :( .
I want a A class type with a u-shaped lounge at the back and about thirty feet long.
I'm sure that this question has been asked many times in the past but here goes anyway.
Can anyone out there who has done what I propose doing, give me some advice?
I would also appreciate some does and don't s.
Regards to everyone. Bing

we are planning to fulltime for a while, but we have no house to sell so no prob there also we will still need to work, but not as much as now . as far as we can see the only prob is having an addres ,that will be no prob if our daughter gets a house . we work for agencys, and they say they will supply us with work as and when we require so hopefully, it will go ok we will see.

Hi Bing. I am also considering doing this in the future and will be watching this thread with interest. Rather than selling your darn house, have you heard about the, Lifetime Mortgage,.
This is what I am considering but won' be eligable until I'm 55 years old.
This way you could sell say half your house and remain the owner with no repayments. It gives you something to fall back on should you change your mind. Good luck anyway, keep us informed. Regards Lenny and Christine

please go into this kind of mortgage ,very carefully as it can be a minefild. there have been instances where people have ended up with nothing,in the end

looks ok bit worried about the new roof panels, and floor ?mabey water leaks but if sealed well no probs.
but then again those autosleepers have a glass fibre body so they dont usualy have probs with damp but the floor another thing, if it has delaminated and has been repaired profesionalythen ok if it has just been nailed over with new ply!! be carefull it is a very expensive job ps.had another look and i think he is refering to the floor covering only.

We have been Fulltiming for coming up 12 years. Started off in 1995 in a Car A Van on a camp site in Spain right next to the beach. Five years later we sold it and bought a 1988 Coachmen Classic 32/34ft USA Motorhome (RV). Had 7 years Wild camping around Europe and the USA. Now on a campsite in Spain again. Have a newer 1996 Newmar Mountain Aire 38ft. We use a 1991 Fiat 1.9D Dethleffs for commuting backwards and forwards between the UK and Spain. We wild camp in the Dethleffs. Have NOT sold our 2 cheapo houses. We live off the small Miners pension and the small rent from the 2 houses. Works for us. :)
